The Laos eVisa is an online visa issued for tourism and business-related short-term purposes. Since 2019 when the Lao Government introduced the eVisa system, eligible travelers can enjoy quick and convenient online visa application which entirely eliminates embassy visits.

The electronic visa for Laos is a one-entry visa remaining valid for 60 days and allowing an individual to stay in Laos for up to 30 days.

In order to obtain a Laos eVisa, an eligible applicant must complete a short and intuitive online form, cover the processing fee of 99 Euro and receive the visa confirmation via email.

Apart from the required documents, i.e., a valid passport and face photo, one needs to have access to any working electronic device with a stable Internet connection, valid means of online payment as well as an active email address.

The approved Laos eVisa remains valid for 2 months (60 days) from the date of its issuance. Its holder can visit Laos and stay there for up to 30 days throughout the entire validity period of the visa.
Important: The traveler’s passport cannot expire for at least 6 months from the intended date of arrival in Laos. Moreover, the electronic visa automatically becomes invalid if any passport details change, the document is lost, or it expires.
